Based on current guidance from New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), because of new COVID-19 cases in New York and because SAR Academy and High school now both have positive cases, SAR is closed through Monday, March 16. Students and staff in BOTH SAR Academy and SAR High School are now under precautionary quarantine through Monday, March 16, 14 days from the last possible exposure of a positive case.

Balancing our responsibility to the Kehilah with our responsibility to the greater community, we have, in the interest of caution, decided that the Kehilah will NOT meet at the YMHA Purim night, as previously planned.

We recognize that so many of our members have worked hard to prepare for the leining of the Megillah this year and we would like to celebrate the chag “together”.

There will be a virtual Megillah reading through Zoom on Purim night, Monday March 9, at 7:40pm.

We look forward to spiritually — and virtually — celebrating together, even as we find ourselves physically apart.

We wish those directly affected a refuah sh'laim.
May we hear b'surot tovot.
